In 2008, Diego Samuel began his coffee growing venture at Finca El Paraiso due to his fascination with coffee. He initiated this project on a 2.5-hectare family-owned farm while studying Agricultural Enterprise Management. In 2019, he collaborated with coffee researcher Andres Felipe Ospina, experimenting with fermentation to enhance coffee flavors. Their "Double Anaerobic" process earned them recognition, ranking #10 in COE of Colombia 2019 and setting a record for the highest bidding value in Colombia.
Additionally, their farm produces various coffee lots with different fermentation rates, resulting in flavors like lime, lychee, rose, and plum. In 2019, Berg Wu visited El Paraiso and won the TBC 2020 championship and 1st runner-up titles using "Poppy Mint" and "Flor Lichi" Geisha coffee from this farm.
